As a talmid at Mesivta Torah Vodaath, I was ordained with "Smicha" under the auspices of Reb Yaakov Kamenetzky z’tl.

I began my career teaching דִקְדּוּק and נְבִיאִים in the Mesivta and went on to serve in the capacity of Assistant Principal of the High School. Shortly thereafter, I became principal of the elementary school. When the Novominsk Yeshiva launched its high school, I was recruited as their first secular principal.

B’H, for the past 45 years, I had the great privilege to have been the בַּעַל קוֹרֵא  of Rabbi Zakheim's Shul in Brooklyn.

The Mishna in אָבוֹת states:

If you learned much Torah, do not keep it only to yourself. You were created in order to share this knowledge with others.

The מִדְרָש רַבָּה in פַּרְשַת חַיֵי שָרָה states:

If you have taught Torah in your youth, then continue to teach Torah as you grow older because you do not know which of your talmidim will merit to teach future generations of students.

My goal is to impart to you the halachos and the mesorah of לְשוֹן הַקֹדֶש and to apply this knowledge to enable to improve and enrich your reading skills in תְּפִלָּה and קְרִיאַת הַתּוֹרָה. This program is designed to help you become a confident שְלִיחַ צִבּוּר and a master בַּעַל קוֹרֵא.

One who learns when he is young is compared to ink written on new paper.

Teach a child according to his pace, and as he grows he will not turn away from his learning.
